Last night the Benbrook Bobcat Tennis team took on Western Hills in their first district match of the season and won by a score of 10-7. The win was a great team effort which included senior Alfredo Ayerdis winning his singles match 8-2 followed by senior Ay Taiwo sealing the win with her 8-6 singles victory late in the evening.

4th year Head Coach, Coach Hamlett-Williams was excited for the win, “It’s a good win in our first District match, I’m proud of our athletes for coming out and playing strong to get the win. We have a lot to work on, but overall the weaknesses will improve”.

The tennis program is on the move now having more than 30 kids that are working hard and committed! The Bobcat Tennis team travels to Ranchview High School for their next district match on September 13th.
